Dutch girl-singer Bonny St. Claire aka Bonnie St. Claire, born Cornelia Swart,started her career in the music business in 1966 as a member of an all-girl folk trio, the Topsys. In 1967, she was discovered by Peter Koelewijn. During the course of the next few years, she was accompanied by the Jets (first single), the Nicols (till 1969), Clover Leaf, Lotusland (1969-1972) and Unit Gloria.Here's something from her first 45...Tame me tiger

With the first couple of notes at the beginning, I thought that this tune was, err, borrowing, the melody for 'Louie Louie', but then it turned into something.. racy. :-) Very nice!

she did one (or maybe more) song in French too - I heard it once on a German compilation of sixties songs, but I did not buy it (eeeediot!)

Hi Davecat,hi Guuzbourg,I think the song you mention is voulez-vous by Bonny and Unit Gloria,I've got their lp somewhere,and welcome Cathy the song you mention is also by Bonny and Unit Gloria I think,maybe I'll be able to post something by them in the future. Have to look for that lp first. :)

very intriguing number... when this come out? who wrote de song? It sounds exactly like The Troggs'"Come Now" (May 1970); even the bridge, slow, recitative was a common trick used ad nauseum by the devils of Andover.
