Thaks for these Bruno. I only knew Tammy St. John from 'Dark Shadows and Empty Hallways' http://worldofkane.blogspot.com/2006/02/tammy-st.html
Which she recorded when she was only 14!

There used to loads of 'small girls with big voices' singers in the 60s, Lulu and Helen Reddy to name but two. Where did they all go?

In the last series of 'American Idol' there was a 17 year girl with a FANTASTIC Gladys Knight/Candy Staton-type voice, which Simon Cowell etc. were ACTIVELY discouraging her from developing.

    THE FOOLS!!!

That "American Idol" story is so sad, guilty of no taste!
Hi Ale,that's been up on several blogs over time,I'll see if I can do a repost overhere.
